California’s SBA Fund for the Arts (CSA) is a $5.4 million gift to the state agency.
In addition to the donation to SBA, the CSA also received a $250,000 contribution from the Los Angeles County Arts Commission (LCAC) and $50,000 from the San Diego County Arts Council (SDAC).
The CSA is also a partner in a $500,000 donation to The San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA), which is dedicated to preserving the legacy of the SFMOMAs art collection.
As part of the gift, the California SBA will work with the CCA to develop a public service announcement and promote its mission to raise public awareness about the state’s financial challenges.
The SBA has a long history of giving, as it’s been an active partner in various causes throughout its history.
Back in 2010, the agency gave $10 million to support the LA Film Festival, which was attended by celebrities such as Adam Sandler and Scarlett Johansson.
This year, the $1.5 million contribution will help support the CA Film Museum and the CA Museum of Fine Arts.
